Wardrobe Essential – the Jumpsuit

// Style

I do love a good jumpsuit.

Because they are so EASY to wear and SO flattering. Just one item to pick, add some beautiful accessories – a pair of heels, some jewellery – a necklace or earrings and a bag, and you are good to go. Fast and easy.

Get the right cut for your body and they both flatter and are super comfortable to wear. If you are pear shaped, a wide cut like this will work beautifully, skimming over the thighs and hips, and putting the focus on the upper body.

A detailed neckline like this one draws the eye upwards and adds glamour for evening. This is definitely an evening jumpsuit with the  matt gold beading, and I paired it with gold accessories from Michael Kors and high gold strappy sandals for an evening look. Perfect for Ibiza parties 🙂

This one also has a belt, which gently accents the waist and conceals the tummy. This is another feature of all my favourite jumpsuits! Eat out for dinner and no worries, you can gently expand in your jumpsuit and still look fabulous! I’m all for a win-win 😉

This jumpsuit is from Vince Camuto and Vestry also have a great selection.

Be prepared to try a LOT on until you find the right fit and cut for you. If it’s a slim fit jumpsuit, it’s tricky to get the calves to be the right amount of loose vs fitted. Don’t give up hope…. there’s one out there cut just for you!

A jumpsuit is actually also my No.1 favourite thing to fly in. It can be dressed up with jewellery for the airport and travel, and then slept in on the plane. Choose a stretchy jersey material that won’t crease and a loose cut to allow for any swelling on the plane and it will be a smart choice.

Handbag by Michael Kors – I use this simple matt gold metallic leather clutch so much. It goes with anything and is a great staple evening handbag for travelling.
